category of the
2009 Los Angeles Architectural Awards!
MPC (The Moving Picture
Company), part of the Technicolor Services Division of Thomson, opened their new
Santa Monica-based visual effects facility in 2009. The Moving Picture
Company - Los Angeles division will initially focus on the U.S. commercials
visual effects (VFX) market, and it will also provide a front-end presence to
MPC’s Los Angeles-based studios features VFX business
The project is located at 1437 4th
Street, Suite 400 in Santa Monica, California. It consists of 7,173 square feet
of office space plus (3) outside deck areas with added decks, planters, and
built-in seating. The project consists of Production rooms, Grading rooms,
Conference room, Film/Tape vault, Kitchen, Machine room, Reception area, Tape Op
room, Lobby, Offices, Scan room, Edit room, (3) Project rooms, and Executive
offices.
